That is a question many of us ask… Usually, the answer is a name. In that case, my name is Bruce.
I hope if anyone described me, it would be something like a Christian family man who is a redneck geek.
I am a Christian… I call myself a chicken Christian. I frequently need some sort of opening to get started talking… Knowing that, I have a lot of shirts that have religious slogans or sayings on them and that works pretty well. I have also put magnetic signs on my vehicle. The central idea of this blog is to help others see Jesus and get to know Him. I read the King James Bible and believe it to be true and accurate.
I love my family. I have a total of sixteen children. Yes, sixteen. I fathered two daughters with my ex-wife, my second, current, and last wife gave birth to three sons and two daughters and adopted another son with her ex-husband. So, when God put us together, we had eight. When the older kids moved out, I told my wife, we need to do something about these bedrooms… If they are empty, the older kids will come back! Of course, that was a joke, but it led to foster care and adoption. Over the years, we have adopted three more boys and five more girls. Yes, we are done now. I have been blessed to be a dad, step-dad, foster-dad, adoptive dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. To me, every single child of ours is a child, not a step, foster or adopted.
I like the outdoors. I like to hunt and fish and just spend time enjoying God’s creation. Along with hunting, I also enjoy shooting at the range. I strongly support our constitution and believe our Bill of Rights should apply to every person in every nation. My wife and I have gone out fishing several times and she always out-fishes me! And that is good when we are going to eat our catch! We prefer Walleye fishing, but mostly sitting in a boat on water.
I used to be a big fan of the NFL, but I refuse to watch since many of the players decided to use my entertainment time to make personal statements. If they wanted to pay for ads, that would be fine, but not like this. And, NASCAR also is a favorite. But, when they decided to ban anything other than illegal items (such as flags, etc.), they have become an enemy of liberty and freedom.
I am a system administrator. Current title of network administrator, but I really am more systems than networking. Windows servers and PC’s for the most part. VMWare has made the job a lot more fun!
